Earlier this Summer, I took Charley to Busch Gardens again.
And of course, Bo came along, so I was unable to ride any rides with her.
But Charley's getting older, therefore gaining independence, so I let her loose.
Well, I let her loose enough to have a little fun,
while I struggled to maintain a line of sight on her at all times.
It was stressful event.
In a way, these photos remind me of "Where's Waldo" though a bit less extreme.
There were a few times that I scanned the crowded line wildly,
just on the rising side of panic, when my eyes landed on my baby.
But she's a smart girl and I have to learn to
trust her to use the good sense I pounded into her brain.
Though, very recently, I dreamed I let her and a friend walk to Dollar General only to find out later that they not only took turns holding a loaded pistol but also accepted a ride from a stranger.
But she knows better than that. Doesn't she?
I think it's time for another "safety night."
OH my gosh. I just want to reach out and pull her out of the boat!!!
And WHY, WHY don't they have safety belts on the log rides???
My baby girl.
She was seven. Now she's eight.
